Textile production hub to come up in China's Dandong city

Fixed Star Chemicals Co., Ltd. based in Dandong, a city in Liaoning province of northeast China, has finalized an agreement with the Dandong Environmental Protection Industrial Park to construct the ‘Fixed Star Group Functional Textile Manufacturing Base’ in Dandong.

As per the agreement signed between the Fixed Star Chemical and Dandong Environmental Park, the proposed textile manufacturing project will involve an investment of two billion yuan.

The new textile manufacturing base will have units manufacturing a range of functional textiles and fabrics as well as tents, sportswear and occupational protective garments.

Fixed star said it also has future plans to build up several other industrial clusters in Dandong city and further develop them into complete textile and garment manufacturing hubs rather than mere processing centres.

The demand for functional clothing material is increasing domestically and internationally. Industry experts project the global sales of functional fabrics to grow at 4.8 percent year-on-year.

Founded in 1994, Fixed Star Chemical is a leading manufacturing enterprise that specializes in the research, formulation and production of textile-based chemicals and materials. The group possesses nearly 30 Chinese national patents.

Established in February 2009, the Dandong Environmental Protection Industrial Park has become one of the key development areas in Liaoning Coastal Economic Belt. The industrial area focuses on ecological development, environmental protection and new technologies. It also has project clusters in bioengineering, new materials, and storage and logistics.
