The United States Association of Importers of Textiles & Apparel (USA-ITA) and the American Import Shippers Association (AISA) announces the 24th Annual Textile & Apparel Importer Trade & Transportation Conference on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. The conference will take place from approximately 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

This conference will feature discussions with Administration officials and industry experts on customs, supply chain logistics, transportation, sourcing, and other key issues affecting the textile and apparel importing industry, along with an exhibition of the leading supply chain service providers.

USA-ITA & AISA are still finalizing the agenda, but so far, they've confirmed speakers from U.S. Customs & Border Protection, U.S. Department of Commerce, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, and the Consumer Products Safety Commission, as well as experts on transportation, cotton, and more. If you register now, you'll be the first to know important updates.

The United States Association of Importers of Textiles and Apparel (USA-ITA) was established in January 1989 by nine companies with a vision to create a unified voice for textile and apparel importers across the country.  USA-ITA provides education, information, and advocacy to executives active in textile and apparel sourcing, importing, compliance, and logistics.

Since its formation in 1987 as a not-for-profit, the American Import Shippers Association (AISA) has evolved into one of the world's largest international Shipping Associations serving U.S. importers of textiles, garments, footwear, and other consumer goods. By leveraging the collective cargo volume of our member companies, we negotiate discounted ocean freight rates and special association volume discounts with ocean carriers, which otherwise only very large corporations can command.
