The area has also been given a new name, IT@Texprocess, Successful Solutions for the Fashion Industry, to emphasise its appeal primarily to IT suppliers in the apparel industry and trade. It is also ideal for software producers offering solutions for processing and selling technical textiles.
Detlef Braun, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt, comments: “This new concept is designed to enhance the IT offerings at Texprocess. IT solutions are key factors driving innovation in today’s apparel industry.”
Products featured in the IT area range from warehouse management systems and product lifecycle management to digital fashion and 3D pattern design. The software systems provide solutions for the major challenges of the future such as sustainability, traceability, reducing C02 emissions and speed fashion.
Retail concepts from fashion brands and fashion labels offered by commercial enterprises are increasingly blurring the boundaries between procurement, production and sales in the apparel industry. And then there is of course online business. Today’s IT suppliers offer integrated solutions from production to multi-channel sales.
Hannes Rambold, CEO of MobiMedia Group, remarks: “The rapid developments in IT provide opportunities to save considerable costs and improve communication along the textile chain all the way to the end consumer. The invaluable communication between software users and producers can only be achieved in a central marketplace for information. This IT marketplace is Texprocess in Frankfurt.”
The clearly arranged IT area is located in the immediate vicinity of the IT, design, CAD/CAM, cutting and quality assurance product groups. With a separate lounge, it has enough room for in-depth interaction between users and producers. Effective immediately, interested companies can register for the IT area at Texprocess and book a fully equipped stand.
Texprocess 2013 will take place in parallel with Techtextil, the international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens from 11 to 13 June 2013. The 2011 Texprocess attracted 326 exhibitors and roughly 10,500 trade visitors, while another 6,500 visitors came from the Techtextil event held in parallel. The Texprocess Americas and Techtextil North America pair of events is scheduled to debut in Atlanta from 13 to 15 May 2014.
Messe Frankfurt is Germany’s leading trade fair organiser, with 467.5 million euros in sales and 1,725 active employees worldwide. The Messe Frankfurt Group has a global network of 28 subsidiaries and approx. 50 international Sales Partners, giving it a presence for its customers in more than 150 countries.
