China Garments & Textiles Sourcing Fair (CGTSF) will take place from October 27-30 in Hong Kong. It is a unique one-stop sourcing event during Asia’s peak fashion sourcing season and gives international buyers the opportunity to trade with handpicked China OEMs.

During the fair will also take place a series of seminars addressing various issues related to the following topic: “How to source from China”. In this context, Benoit AUBET, Sales & Marketing Director of AQM, will give a conference speech on Textile Quality Control, relying on his great experience and expertise in that field to share some of his views on the topic.

Indeed, it is true that quality control remains a very critical issue for many retailers, as the unique specificities of textile products make quality control very complex and thus increase the risk of non compliant products. In point of fact, more than half of manufactured and packaged textile goods in Asia do not match the customers’ specifications.

This conference should come as great help for them to learn how to save time and money out of quality control as well as to secure the highest level of quality for their textile imports.

AQM has provided major European retailers with customized textile quality services for more than 7 years. As an organization independent from buying agencies, trading companies and production units, AQM has developed a true expertise in textiles and garments’ quality inspections, as well as in social and technical audits and in labtests.

Now an international SME of 160 employees, AQM is located in the most strategic areas of textile manufacturing countries – China, India, Bangladesh, Turkey, Cambodia and Vietnam.

In 2011, AQM inspected more than 55 million items of clothing (that is, 15 000 inspections) for European textile importers. It aspires to become one of the leaders in textile quality solutions in the next five years.

Mr. Benoit AUBET is the Sales and Marketing Director for AQM Group. Both a business school (ESC Lille) and an engineer school (Ecole Centrale) graduate, Benoit was hired by AQM to develop new quality solutions and services for the textile market.

Thanks to his experiences and interest in technical businesses, Benoit has developed an expertise at implementing tailored services for customers, especially for the largest European retailers. According to him, Quality Control as a key step in supply chain management is the best solution to enhance the cost/time ratio of sourcing in Asia.
