TÜV Rheinland to set up textile testing lab in Tirupur

TÜV Rheinland India, a subsidiary of German-based TÜV Rheinland Group, a leading provider of technical services worldwide, will be setting up textile testing laboratories in Tirupur and Gurgaon by 2012-end.
As a part of the company’s Rs. 1.5 billion expansion plan in India, the company would also expand capacity at the company’s existing facility in Bangalore.
As per the announcement, the firm would also invest in setting up vocational training centres in India.
The testing and certification business in India is bound to grow in the coming years owing to the advantage of having a huge domestic market, coupled with presence in export markets.
As a world leader in testing, inspection, certification and training, TÜV Rheinland tests, monitors and certifies products, processes, services, management systems, etc. based on various standards, statutory requirements and performance indicators.
