Leading textile producer Trident bags two TEXPROCIL awards

Trident Limited, one of country’s leading textile manufacturers, was conferred with two prestigious awards by The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council of India (TEXPROCIL).  The company has bagged a Silver Trophy for Best Terry Towel Exporter in Made-ups Category and a Bronze Trophy for Best Global Exporter (Overall). 

The award was presented to Trident Limited by Smt. Kiran Dhingra, Hon’ble Secretary (Textiles), Government of India. The award has been conferred in recognition of outstanding Export Performance in the export of textiles. Trident Limited has already established its niche in the global market by building the confidence and trust of customers by providing quality services and delivering excellence.

Speaking about the achievement, Abhishek Gupta, Managing Director, Trident Limited said, “We are extremely glad to receive this honor from TEXPROCIL. I thank the council for appreciating our efforts and honoring us with this award.”

Innovation has been a hallmark of Trident. From finest cotton, to specialty fibers to new weaving techniques, Trident has been giving new products and innovations to the market on regular basis.

The total textile exports of Trident Group in the year 2011-12 were Rs.1369 crores. The export turnover of textiles increased by 22.5 % during the year 2011-2012 as compared to previous year and exports of terry towels increased by 21%. TEXPROCIL awards are granted to exporters registered with it, in recognition of outstanding export performance in cotton textiles coming under the purview of the council namely, cotton yarn, cotton fabrics and cotton made-ups.
