Heimtextil's trade visitors may look forward to inspiring ideas for bath, bed and table at New & Next. Outstanding young companies will be displaying their collections and new products in Halls 8, 9 and 11. New & Next is to provide start-ups with the opportunity to present themselves to an international audience at Heimtextil. The newcomer platform focuses on highlighting innovative designs and product ideas. Participating companies include Sweden's Aquavireo, the Netherlands' The Soft World and Germany's Lenz & Leif, Peppa Grace and Robespierre Europe. Heimtextil also provides a cross-disciplinary source of inspiration for young design. After its impressive debut last January, the Frankfurt School for Apparel and Fashion once again is presenting inspiration from the world of fashion. As part of the presentation in Hall 11.0, the next generation of designers will be unveiling their own work and exploring colour trends, zeitgeist and the 2013 fashion visions.

"For us it is important that students really use the materials provided by exhibitors to best advantage and in a suitable way. The materials should really look eye-catching on the models and point back to their various providers," explains Ina Franzmann from the Frankfurt school. The show titled Pieced up Contrasts spans models ranging from artistically experimental to avant garde that not only point the way forward for the textile zeitgeist but also present a diverse range of potential applications for different materials, structures and developments from home textile providers.
