Meager turnover in Chinese PTA spot market

Over the past few days, rare actual turnover was witnessed in Chinese purified terephthalic acid (PTA) spot market.
At present, market offers for PTA are around 8,350 yuan/ton in East China. Bids from downstream buyers are around 8,250 yuan/ton and very few actual negotiations are around 8,300 yuan/ton.
For Taiwan produced cargo, market offers are around US$ 1,105/ton, while downstream manufacturers bid for price of about US$ 1,090/ton and negotiation price is about US$ 1,095/ton.
For Korean cargo, PTA prices are in the range of US$ 1,095-1,100/ton, bids from buyers are around US$ 1,080/ton, and actual negotiation is about US$ 1,090/ton.
