The first-ever professional industrial fair of erstwhile Burma, the ‘Myanmar International Textile & Garment Industry Exhibition 2012’, will take place in the country’s capital city of Yangon from 14th to 17th December 2012.

Aiming to strengthen the nation’s local textile and apparel industry, the expo will provide a comprehensive B2B platform for the domestic and international manufacturers, buyers, traders and distributors.

With nearly 100 stalls from more than 17 international companies, the fair will exhibit an array of latest textile and garment equipment that are being used worldwide, such as looms, yarn processing machinery, embroidery equipment and winding machines.

Along with the diversified display of latest tools, the exhibition will also showcase chemicals and dyes, as well as a range of garment accessories like ribbons, laces and shoulder pads.

The event will be co-sponsored by the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Industry (UMFCCI), Myanmar Industrial Enterprises (MIEs) and Yorkers Trade and Marketing Service Company.
