The subsequent positive feedback given by the seminar participants confirms the need and requirement for such a further training event. The professional organization of the seminar with highly-motivated experts and well-structured, valuable themes was emphasized.
The Executive Chairman of the Rieter Board of Directors, Erwin Stoller, welcomed the participants personally and gave them an insight into Rieter’s field of activity.
This was followed by explanations from Rieter experts on the 4 spinning technologies – ring, compact, rotor and air-jet spinning – the resulting typical yarn characteristics as well as their influence on the downstream processes. This know-how was consolidated by inspection of the relevant spinning machines.
A further subject was the requirements for good bobbin winding and its influence on subsequent processes. Important indications and practical tips were also given in relation to yarn testing. The interpretation of test results, the various test methods as well as a visit to the comprehensively equipped Rieter test laboratory met with lively interest.
The highlight was the comparison of fabrics and knits from the four different Com4 yarns. Using the information acquired in the seminar, the participants independently tested and assessed various samples. The newly-experienced “touch” and the visual examination evoked several “aha” moments with the participants.
Finally, to support their daily work, they each received a sample file with various Com4 fabric samples as well as the presentations and animations from the seminar.
Time for Networking
Networking is an important business component. The participants used the breaks between the topics and in particular the joint evening event to exchange professional know-how and to establish new business contacts.
Further Com4 Yarn Seminars planned
The positive feedback and the great demand speak for themselves. Further Com4 yarn seminars are already being planned, both in Winterthur and in India and China.
