PX, PTA & PSF prices increase in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in the Asian region. In S E Asian region, PX prices surged in the range of US$ 1645/ton to US$ 1650/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1635/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market were offered in the range of US$ 1645/ton to US$ 1650/ton.

PTA prices surged in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, PTA prices increased in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1175/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1180/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market went up and were quoted in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1175/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices stayed steady in the range of RMB 8525/ton to RMB 8575/ton.

Ethylene prices stayed steady in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept unchanged in the range of US$ 1295/ton to US$ 1300/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were offered at US$ 1195/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices went down in the range of 59.50 cents/pound to 60.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained unchanged in European international and domestic markets, and were offered at US$ 1380/ton and € 1055/ton, respectively.

MEG prices surged in the Asian region. In S E Asian region, MEG prices increased and were offered at US$ 1200/ton. In China market, MEG prices went up in the range of US$ 1195/ton to US$ 1200/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices surged in the range of RMB 9025/ton to RMB 9075/ton.

In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1470/ton to US$ 1520/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1470/ton to US$ 1510/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were assessed in the range US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1480/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices were unchanged at RMB 10600/ton.

In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices stayed steady in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were offered in the range of RMB 10400/ton to RMB 10450/ton.

PSF prices increased in the Asian region. In F E Asian region, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1630/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1530/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices surged and were offered in the range of RMB 11225/ton to RMB 11275/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester DTY and FDY prices surged and were quoted at RMB 12800/ton and RMB 11725/ton, while POY prices continued to be steady and were offered at RMB 11350/ton. In export market, Polyester DTY and FDY prices surged and were quoted at US$ 1755/ton and US$ 1605/ton, while in POY prices stayedsteady and were offered at US$ 1560/ton.
