Argentina would make efforts to promote its high-value added textiles during the upcoming visit of President Cristina Fernandez to three Asian countries this month.

A delegation of 150 entrepreneurs from various industries, including the textile sector, would accompany the President on her tour to United Arab Emirates, Indonesia and Vietnam from January 13, 2013, according to the Ministry of Trade.

The Argentine textile manufacturers hope to promote their products and brands in Eastern markets, Argentine News Agency Télam reported, quoting textile manufacturer Marco Meloni, who is among the delegates accompanying the President.

Argentine textile exporters will look forward to promote technical textiles and other special fabrics and apparels in Indonesia and Vietnam, which are major producers of textiles and apparels, respectively, Mr. Meloni said.
