A trade delegation of Belarus is currently on a visit to the US to discuss the prospects of cooperation with the American textile industry, BeITA quoted the press service of the Foreign Ministry.

The delegation consists of representatives of Belarus’ leading textile firms like Polesie, Gronitex, Lentha, Mogotex and Baranovichi Cotton Production Corporation.

During its visit, scheduled till January 19, the delegation plans to convene meetings with officials of the American Apparel and Footwear Associations and its member firms to learn about the norms that foreign firms need to comply with to cater to US firms.

The delegates would also examine the possibilities of mutual cooperation in trade.

The delegation will also be attending a workshop on penetration in the US textile industry, at Greenberg Traurig, one of US’s leading law firms.

Mogilev Office of Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Embassy of Belarus in the US have organized the visit of the delegation, in association with the Belarus-United States Business Corporation Council.
