There is a reason why the trend-team has picked the motto “Beauty Full” for the next edition of MUNICH FABRIC START from 5-7 February 2013. Contrasting to the economic recession, fashion now represents quality, beauty and diversity. The 50s and 60s and frivolous sexiness through transparency and necklines or slits are strong elements for the new SPRING.SUMMER 2014 season, so as the techno-style jungle inspiration. It is all about high fashion, beautification, enhancement and enchantment in combination with technical fabric innovations and knows how.

The most obvious task of modern clothing: adorning people with diversified beauty of fashion. The first priority of MUNICH FABRIC START for this season was successfully met, by gathering more than 840 exhibitors who present their high quality fabrics and additional at the MOC on over 40 000 square meters, and turning the exhibition halls into an international hotspot for top-class designers, buyers, product managers and media representatives during the 3 fair days.

“We are pleased about the confidence of exhibitors from all over the world placed on our effort, and this is proven again with a full house here in Munich”, says Mr. Wolfgang Klinder, the founder and CEO of MUNICH FABRIC START, who is not only proud of the fully booked event, but also of the investment in the new booth system as well as in the trend area and the foyer. This is a step forward to the goal of the MFS-Team – building up a perfectly-organized fair for fabrics and accessories.

Blue Zone Denim-Trends: RECYCLING AND LASER TECHNOLOGY

Metallic effects, 3D prints and transparent coatings are representatives of modernity in the new denim season, as predicted by our trend scout Joachim Baumgartner. The theme “Street and Art” appears in the fully-booked BLUEZONE, where over 55 exhibitors of the denim industry, from “ISKO” to “CANDIANI”, display their collections of rock, punk and hip-hop characteristics. Loose cuts, spandex and super-stretch materials remain the measure of all denims.

Neopatching comes as a new design element. Sustainability should not be missed in the denim world. As new recycling and laser technologies are becoming more and more important, they will be demonstrated in the live performance of the laser denim finishing specialists “Jeanologia” from Spain.

Extension OF THE ECO SECTOR

MUNICH FABRIC START does not see itself merely as an expert for sustainability in the Denim World. Another step in this direction is the new additional area in the organic selection, the MUNICH FABRIC START forum for sustainability. In general, the importance of trims and accessories suppliers has increased at the fair, with more than 200 specialists showcase their collections in two large halls. This development should be taken into account at the Eco sector.

On top of the over 500 certified fabrics, trims and accessories are tested and certified for the first time. With organic selection, we focus on high fashion standards of sustainable materials. This is well supported by the international and exclusive cooperation with C.L.A.S.S. (Creativity, Lifestyle and Sustainable Synergy). The cosmopolitan platform is not only known for its high-quality archive of Eco-materials, but also as a completely new approach that combines design and innovation into a holistic concept.
