BG PET Chips prices inch down in Southeast Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices dipped and were offered in the range of US$ 1540/ton to US$ 1545/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1520/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market dropped and were quoted in the range of US$ 1545/ton to US$ 1550/ton.

PTA prices stayed steady in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1095/ton to US$ 1100/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1105/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market fell and were offered in the range of US$ 1100/ton to US$ 1105/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 8000/ton to RMB 8050/ton.

Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1365/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were unchanged at US$ 1265/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices stayed steady and were assessed in the range of 64.50 cents/pound to 65.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices were stable in the European international and domestic markets, and were quoted at US$ 1500/ton and € 1150/ton, respectively.

MEG prices increased in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices were assessed at US$ 1040/ton. In Chinese international market, MEG prices surged and were offered in the range of US$ 1030/ton to US$ 1035/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 7950/ton to RMB 7975/ton.

In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices went down in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1540/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1490/ton to US$ 1530/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers hovered in the range of US$ 1480/ton to US$ 1530/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices stayed steady at RMB 10500/ton.

In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices declined in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices maintained a steady trend in the range of RMB 10300/ton to RMB 10350/ton.

PSF prices declined in Asian markets. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1515/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1415/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices went down and were quoted in the range of RMB 10400/ton to RMB 10450/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY and DTY prices stayed steady and were offered at RMB 11050/ton and RMB 12550/ton, respectively, while FDY prices inched down to RMB 11350/ton. In export market, offers for POY and DTY stayed steady and were assessed at US$ 1520/ton, US$ 1725/ton, respectively, while FDY prices moved down to US$ 1560/ton.
