PTA & MEG prices move up in Southeast Asia

Paraxylene (PX) prices stayed steady in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1540/ton to US$ 1545/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1520/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market stayed stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1545/ton to US$ 1550/ton.
 
PTA prices surged in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1115/ton to US$ 1120/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 1125/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1100/ton to US$ 1105/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 8050/ton to RMB 8100/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1365/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1195/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of 64.50 cents/pound to 65.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices declined in the European international and domestic markets, and were assessed at US$ 1490/ton and € 1145/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices went up in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices were offered at US$ 1055/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1030/ton to US$ 1035/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained unchanged and were offered in the range of RMB 7950/ton to RMB 7975/ton. 
 
In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices were steady in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1540/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1490/ton to US$ 1530/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were between US$ 1480/ton to US$ 1530/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged at RMB 10500/ton.
 
In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices stayed stable in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices maintained a stable trend in the range of RMB 10300/ton to RMB 10350/ton.
 
PSF prices went down in Asian markets. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1505/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1405/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices stayed steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 10400/ton to RMB 10450/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices stayed steady and were assessed at RMB 11050/ton, RMB 12550/ton, and RMB 11350/ton, respectively. In export market, offer prices for POY, DTY, and FDY dipped and were assessed at US$ 1510/ton, US$ 1710/ton, and US$ 1540/ton, respectively.
