The PLUS SERIES is a complete color communication system that fulfills the analog and digital workflow needs of graphic design, print, packaging, web design, animation and video professionals.
“In celebration of Pantone’s 50 years of color inspiration, we designed special anniversary edition packaging and covers for the PANTONE PLUS SERIES,” said Giovanni Marra, director of corporate marketing at Pantone.
“The PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM sparked a revolution in color management and inspiration. We can’t wait to see how the PLUS SERIES shapes the next 50 years of color.”
The limited-edition PANTONE PLUS SERIES guides and books feature metallic covers and a 50th anniversary logo. Additionally, the PANTONE FORMULA GUIDE and PANTONE COLOR BRIDGE sets are packaged in a 50th anniversary gift box.
Value bundles, including PANTONE ESSENTIALS and PORTABLE GUIDE STUDIO, have a redesigned carry case that can easily store up to nine PANTONE guides. The REFERENCE LIBRARY was also recently redesigned and elegantly displays the entire PLUS SERIES library.
As an added incentive, customers can trade in any old PANTONE guide for a $50 rebate toward the purchase of any PLUS Value Bundle until June 30, 2013.
PANTONE PLUS SERIES
Based on the original PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM released in 1963, the PANTONE PLUS SERIES includes a complete collection of color tools that support creativity from design to production. These include 1,677 colors, PANTONE COLOR MANAGER software, a Lighting Indicator page and a ColorChecker Photography Target.
The powerful PANTONE COLOR MANAGER software integrates PANTONE colors into popular design software including Adobe Creative Suite 6 and QuarkXPress 9, while also giving users the ability to create custom PANTONE color profiles for accurate color reproduction and visualization.
A new Lighting Indicator page, reformulated for better performance, ensures ideal lighting conditions for color evaluation. The ColorChecker Photography Target, included in COLOR BRIDGE, helps with digital image color correction.
Pantone LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of X-Rite, Incorporated, has been the world's color authority for nearly 50 years, providing design professionals with products and services for the colorful exploration and expression of creativity. Always a source for color inspiration, Pantone also offers paint and designer-inspired products and services for consumers.
