Chinese VSF prices show downward trend last week

Prices of Cotton Linter declined to RMB 3300/ton during last week from RMB 3600/ton in the previous week. In the last updates from market, prices were quoted in the range of RMB 3000/ton to RMB 3600/ton. Trading prices were in the range of RMB 2900/ton to RMB 3400/ton. Average price for last week was RMB 3020/ton.
 
Prices of Dissolving Pulp showed a downward trend and were assessed at RMB 7050/ton in the last week, down RMB 50/ton from the previous week. Prices of imported Dissolving Wood Pulp were assessed at US$ 930/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from the U.S. were in the range of US$ 820/ton to US$ 980/ton, while those from Canada were in the range of US$ 900/ton to US$ 950/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from Sweden and Russia were between US$ 920/ton and US$ 950/ton.
 
VSF prices too showed a downward trend and were quoted at RMB 13700/ton in the last week, down RMB 325/ton from the previous week. VSF market opened at RMB 13700/ton and remained range bound during that period and prices were assessed in the range of RMB 13600/ton to RMB 13900/ton. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VSF hovered in the range of US$ 1.94/kg to US$ 1.96/kg. Market experts believe that VSF prices would remain stable-to-soft at around US$ 1.98/kg.
 
In the last week, prices of VFY showed a stable-to-soft trend and were assessed at RMB 39100/ton. Earlier, market opened in the range of RMB 39000/ton to RMB 39200/ton, and the trading prices were at RMB 39100/ton. VFY market was relatively stable during that period. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VFY hovered in the range of US$ 5950/ton to US$ 6050/ton.
