Prices of polyester raw materials fall in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices plunged in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1455/ton to US$ 1460/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1430/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1465/ton to US$ 1470/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1045/ton to US$ 1050/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1045/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market dropped and were quoted in the range of US$ 1045/ton to US$ 1050/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices surged and were assessed in the range of RMB 7675/ton to RMB 7725/ton.
 
Ethylene prices declined in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1225/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1180/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of 60.00 cents/pound to 60.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices dipped in the European international and domestic markets, and were quoted at US$ 1295/ton and € 1040/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices dropped in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices were offered at US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1010/ton to US$ 1015/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices fell and were offered in the range of RMB 7300/ton to RMB 7375/ton.
 
In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices kept unchanged in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1480/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers stayed steady between US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were quoted at RMB 10200/ton.
 
In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were steady in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1310/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 9500/ton to RMB 9550/ton.
 
PSF prices declined in Asian markets. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1500/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1400/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained unchanged and were offered in the range of RMB 10250/ton to RMB 10300/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY and FDY prices declined and were offered at RMB 10650/ton and RMB 11175/ton, respectively, while DTY prices were steady at RMB 12300/ton. In export market, offers for POY and FDY dipped and were offered at US$ 1470/ton and US$1535/ton, respectively, while DTY prices increased to US$ 1700/ton.
