PX, PTA & PSF prices swell in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices surged in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1460/ton to US$ 1465/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1440/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 1455/ton to US$ 1460/ton.
 
PTA prices rose in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices increased in the range of US$ 1020/ton to US$ 1025/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1020/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market moved down and were offered in the range of US$ 1010/ton to US$ 1015/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices were assessed in the range of RMB 7750/ton to RMB 7800/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1205/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1120/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were offered in the range of 60.00 cents/pound to 60.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices stayed stable in the European international and domestic markets, and were quoted at US$ 1250/ton and € 1005/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices fell in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices were offered at US$ 985/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 985/ton to US$ 990/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of RMB 7275/ton to RMB 7325/ton.
 
In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices were stable in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1490/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers remained stable between US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1470/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices were stable at RMB 10025/ton.
 
In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were stable in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1330/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of RMB 9400/ton to RMB 9450/ton.
 
PSF prices increased in Asian markets. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1475/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1375/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were stable and were offered in the range of RMB 10175/ton to RMB 10225/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained stable at RMB 10600/ton, RMB 12250/ton, and RMB 11150/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY remained stable at US$ 1450/ton, while prices for DTY and FDY increased and were offered at US$ 1675/ton and US$ 1520/ton, respectively.
