The exhibit hall, which occupied more than 5,500 square meters of the World Trade Center, showcased products and services which included: computer software/information technology, contract manufacturing, cutting and sewing equipment/supplies, fabrics, fibers, yarns, findings/trims, nonwovens, research and development products, logistics services, textile machinery, associations/academia, and industry publications. An artist design competition held by exhibiting company, Casa Diaz, and detailed product demonstrations throughout the exhibit hall, also drew large, interested crowds.

The exhibitors were pleased with both the number and quality of buyers seen in their booths during the three-day event.

Exhibitors were able to meet with major retailers, brands and manufacturers such as Walmart, NIKE, Adidas, Mitsubishi Corporation, Hanes Brands, Faurecia, Intimark, Bamex, Johnson Controls, Kaltex, Secretaria de Marina, FAVE Sedena, Uniformes Empresariales, Yale, Juliuo, Ivonne, Britos, Arush, Ferrioni, Baby Cresi, Avante Textil, Camisas Ramzy Casab, Cavalier, and many others. Exhibitors also noted their satisfaction in meeting attendees from a broad Central American audience.

In addition to Mexico, ExpoProducción visitors came from Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Puerto Rico, Spain, United States and Venezuela.

Exhibitor Statements:

Computer Generated Solutions (Leadtec), Chad Bralley, Senior Account Executive: “ExpoProducción brought in the perfect target market for us. The quality of the visitors was great. Most of the people we met were real decision makers.” Eton Systems A.B., Gary Freedman, Business Development Manager: “We chose to exhibit in ExpoProducción to explore the growing Mexican market. It was a successful show for Eton as we came away with more leads than expected. The event itself is very well done and we believe there is value in exhibiting here.”

Henderson Sewing Machine Co., Frank Henderson, CEO: “ExpoProducción in Mexico City was a good and valuable opportunity for suppliers to the Sewn Products Industries after a long absence of a trade show venue in Mexico.”

Hilos de Yecapixtla, S.A. de C.V., Parkdale Mills, David Pineda Diaz, Gerente de Ventas y Servicio Tecnico: “It is great to have a textile production trade show in Mexico City again. Our company offers cotton and cotton blends yarns to the Mexican, Central and South American markets. I was pleasantly surprised to see so much interest in our yarns at this event.”

KCTEX International, Ltd., Sandeep Phookan: "Overall we are satisfied with the event. We saw a large demand during the show for different types of fabrics and yarns. We met mostly retail buyers and agents from Mexico who had an interest in our products."

Lectra, Violeta López, Marketing Mexico: “The show was great, after eight years of not having any machinery show; it was a good idea to include other industries and not just fashion companies.”
