Ethylene & MEG prices show mixed trend in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices rose in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1445/ton to US$ 1450/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1425/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton.
 
PTA prices remained stable in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices were stable in the range of US$ 1060/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1060/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1055/ton to US$ 1060/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices stayed steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 7775/ton to RMB 7825/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1245/ton to US$ 1250/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1110/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices surged and were offered in the range of 58.00 cents/pound to 58.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices declined in the European international and domestic markets, and were quoted at US$ 1090/ton and € 870/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices showed a mixed trend in Asia. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices were quoted at US$ 1000/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices stayed stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices moved up and were offered in the range of RMB 7475/ton to RMB 7525/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1460/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1450/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers stayed stable between US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1460/ton, while market discussions were in the range of US$ 1400/ton and US$ 1420/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted at RMB 10125/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were stable in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1330/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were offered in the range of RMB 9650/ton to RMB 9700/ton.
 
PSF prices plunged in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1490/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 10225/ton to RMB 10275/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY remained stable at RMB 10750/ton and RMB 11250/ton, respectively, while prices of DTY inched up to RMB 12275/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and FDY remained stable at US$ 1480/ton and 1540/ton, respectively, while prices of DTY surged to US$1685/ton.
