Nylstar to exhibit fibers at Techtextile for first time
Jun '13
Nylstar, one of the leading providers of Polyamide 6.6 filaments and yarns will participate at Techtextil for the first time this year, exhibiting some of its revolutionary yarns and presenting its new slogan: “Polyamide Feels Better”.

It is a fact that of all man-made fibers, Polyamide 6.6 makes a difference, qualifying and validating the composition of textiles for the consumer. Actually, for clothing, the information given on the label influences the purchase decision of 4 out of 5 consumersi.

Commitment to Healthcare – The Level of UV Protection of clothing gains importance every day. Not surprisingly doctors agree that clothing with high level of UV protection can significantly reduce the risk of skin cancer. At equal fabric thickness, Nylstar Polyamides can offer almost 4 times more UV protection than polyester and twice the protection of cotton.

When talking about healthcare it is a must to name Meryl Skinlife, which maintains the natural healthy balance of bacteria on the skin. Its inherent silver particles regulate bacterial growth, providing freshness and odor-control for the wearer.

Adding these properties to Meryl Nexten has as a result, Meryl Nexten Plus, converting the company in the first player in the market to introduce a Hollow Fiber with Bacteriostatic properties worldwide. Meryl Skinlife, Meryl Nexten, Meryl Nexten Plus and other products of Nylstar’s portfolio have passed specific tests to guarantee their quality and dermatological safety and are OEKO-TEX certified.

Moisture Management – Nylstar’s Polyamide 6.6 fibers are excellent managing moisture. This is because of its “wicking” properties, or tendency to pull water from the skin's surface through to the fabric's other side, where it can evaporate. This keeps us cool and relatively sweat-free if workout is done.

Excellent Elastic Recovery– Nylstar’s Nylon 6.6 fibers have an exceptional ability to recuperate its original state thanks to a remarkable elastic recovery. This means that when constructing fabrics, it will need less percentage of elastomer compared to other synthetic fibers.

Easy Care and Comfort– Our daily lives require easy to care garments and Nylstar Polyamide 6.6 Fibers make the perfect match, since they are machine washable, dry 3 times quicker than cotton and need little or no ironing. Moreover, the softness of Nylstar’s Microfibers and its wicking properties help to relieve stress by maintaining the body’s equilibrium.

Last, but not least, Polyamide 6.6 composition, with more hydrogen that other synthetic fibers make it softer and cooler to touch and have less static electricity. These properties free the consumer from all constraints.
