China still has long way to go in recycled fibre

Several developed countries like the US, the UK and Germany began research in recycled fibre very early, but in recent years, China has also gradually started paying attention to this area.

In recent years, China’s investment in research and development of recycled fibre is increasing. The production as well as applications of recycled fibre is also increasing every year. As a result, the gap between China and developed countries is narrowing.

However, China still has a long way to go in recycled fibre industry compared to the developed countries. Classification of raw materials, product grade, policies and regulations, and consumer perception of recycled fibre are the areas on which China needs to catch up with the developed nations.
