Ethylene prices drop in US; stable elsewhere

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1415/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market dropped and were assessed in the range of US$ 1445/ton to US$ 1450/ton. 
 
PTA prices remained stable in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices stayed unchanged in the range of US$ 1060/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1060/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1055/ton to US$ 1060/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of RMB 7750/ton to RMB 7800/ton.
 
Ethylene prices stayed stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1265/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were offered at US$ 1160/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices plunged and were quoted in the range of 51.50 cents/pound to 52.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international and domestic markets, and were quoted at US$ 1230/ton and € 985/ton, respectively. 
 
MEG prices remained stable in Asia. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices were offered at US$ 950/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices were steady and assessed in the range of US$ 940/ton to US$ 945/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices surged and were offered in the range of RMB 7025/ton to RMB 7075/ton. 
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1440/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers increased and were in the range of US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1440/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1380/ton and US$ 1400/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices declined and were quoted at RMB 9775/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were steady in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1320/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices were stable and were offered in the range of RMB 9375/ton to RMB 9425/ton.
 
PSF prices remained unchanged in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1465/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1365/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices dipped and were assessed in the range of RMB 9995/ton to RMB 10045/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained stable at RMB10475/ton, RMB 12050/ton, and RMB 10700/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY remained stable at US$ 1450/ton, US$ 1665/ton, and US$ 1470/ton, respectively.
