Asian PX & PTA trends stable, MEG rises

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1445/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices were offered at US$ 1415/ton. PX imported from the Taiwanese market surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1445/ton. 
           
PTA prices remained stable in the Asian regions. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1060/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1060/ton. PTA imported from the Taiwanese market was steady and quoted in the range of US$ 1055/ton to US$ 1060/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices went up and were offered in the range of RMB 7740/ton to RMB 7790/ton.   
 
Ethylene prices stayed stable in the Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were offered in the range of US$ 1255/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1170/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices surged and were quoted in the range of 59.50 cents/pound to 60.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international market as well as in the domestic market, and were quoted at US$ 1250/ton and € 1000/ton, respectively.  
 
MEG prices increased in Asia. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices were offered at US$ 960/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 945/ton to US$ 950/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices surged and were offered in the range of RMB 7350/ton to RMB 7400/ton. 
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1440/ton. Some deals were discussed at around US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers went up at US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1440/ton, while talked prices were offered between US$ 1380/ton and US$ 1400/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices went up and were quoted at RMB 9800/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were steady in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1320/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices went up and were offered in the range of RMB 9550/ton to RMB 9600/ton.
 
PSF prices surged in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1485/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1385/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 10140/ton to RMB 10190/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained stable at RMB 10475/ton, RMB 12050/ton, and RMB 10700/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY decreased at US$ 1450/ton, US$ 1665/ton, and US$ 1470/ton, respectively.
