In cooperation with qualified trend experts ISPO MUNICH observes global developments having an impact on today’s fabrics as well as components, which ultimately determine the collections for fall/winter 2015/2016.

The result, ISPO Textrends, shortens the time to market and offers designers and product developers an advance insight into the future of the textile market. The focus topics for 2015/2016 include the importance of social responsibility, the definition of individuality, and the combination of health and performance.

ISPO MUNICH is not just a global showplace for innovations. It discovers and identifies trends, and consistently provides this expertise to the sports business as a special service. In the textile segment, ISPO MUNICH has been evaluating a number of current influences, which already have an impact on the sports apparel for fall/winter 2015/2016.

With ISPO Textrends the international leading sports business platform bundles relevant information and thus provides a comprehensive insight into future market development. They also serve as a guideline for companies wishing to apply for the ISPO Textrends Forum 2014, held during ISPO MUNICH. The professional platform for innovative textiles and components celebrated its successful launch in 2013, and will again present extraordinary products for sportswear manufacturing in the coming year.

International textile expert Louisa Smith explains how the ISPO Textrends are compiled: “We observe social trends and analyze consumer demands.

ISPO Textrends include influences from the arts, digital media, movies, music and sports, and also show the latest developments by fiber and chemical companies having an impact on the textile market.” The final ISPO Textrends consist of three megatrends, as well as predetermined trend colors and five detailed textile trends.

Overview of the ISPO Textrends for Fall/Winter 2015/2016

Megatrends – Transparency, Idiosyncratic, Balance In fall/winter 2015/2016 three megatrends will influence the textile products on the sports market:

Transparency of the supply chain and social responsibility are very important among today’s market demands and have a direct impact on sales success. In order to be successful in today’s active wear scene companies have to distinguish themselves from the competition.

This Idiosyncratic is made possible by an unusual and unique style, based on special manufacturing processes and finishes. The trend towards wellness continues. The Balance between health and performance is not only reflected by consumers’ activities, but also in fibers and textiles.

Color Palette Fall/Winter 2015/16

The central Pantone color palette for the active wear market features a slightly raised color spectrum with more accents. The new complimenting color selections are considerably inspired by nature, but also by artificially designed simulations.

Textile Trends:

Collaborate, Connectivity, Illusive, Enlightening, Maverick Five textile trends reflect a variety of influences from consumer behavior to the global economic situation.
