China's Anyang City forms body for textile industry
01
Aug '13
Anyang, a prefecture-level city in Henan province of China, has established the Anyang City Textile Industry Association to better serve the development of the textile industry and to achieve the tag of ‘China’s knitwear city’.

The new association has been established after restructuring and merger of the original Anyang City Textile and Apparel Industry Association, Anyang City Knitting Industry Association and the Federation of Chamber of Commerce for the knitting industry.

The new body would have over 4,000 textile enterprises as its members.

The association would act as a bridge and link to safeguard the legitimate interests of the industry as well as common interests of its members.

It will also propose policy recommendations to the government and relevant departments, and contribute in enhancing the overall image of the Anyang textile industry in foreign markets.

At present, the association would focus on building the textile industry park, speeding up industrial restructuring, accelerating the development of the leading enterprises, increasing the pace of technological innovation, and speeding up industrial technology transfer to promote rapid and healthy development of the textile industry in Anyang City, so as to quickly realize the dream of ‘Chinese knitwear city’.
