Paraxylene prices increase in Southeast Asian market

Paraxylene (PX) prices went down in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1490/ton to US$ 1495/ton. In the Fareast Asian market, PX prices were offered at US$ 1470/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1495/ton to US$ 1500/ton.

PTA prices surged in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices went up and were offered in the range of US$ 1115/ton to US$ 1120/ton. In the Fareast Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1120/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1110/ton to US$ 1115/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 7850/ton to RMB 7900/ton.

Ethylene prices remained unchanged in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices were offered in the range of US$ 1225/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the Fareast Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1190/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were assessed in the range of 52.00 cents/pound to 52.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices stayed stable in the European international and domestic markets, and were assessed at US$ 1370/ton and €1070/ton, respectively.

MEG prices were stable in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices remained unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1110/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1100/ton to US$ 1105/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 8075/ton to RMB 8125/ton.

In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were offered in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1460/ton and some deals were discussed at around US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the Fareast Asian market, selling offers were stable at US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1440/ton, while talked prices were offered between US$ 1390/ton and US$ 1410/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices were steady and were quoted at RMB 10100/ton.

In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices surged and were offered in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1340/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices were steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 9475/ton to RMB 9525/ton.
