High-end suppliers to feature in European Hall and Proposte China Pavilion
The large presence of European exhibitors is a strong feature of this year’s fair, as well as the debut Proposte China Pavilion @ Intertextile.
This is the first time Proposte has organised a pavilion in Asia, and a total of 23 premium decorative and furniture fabrics manufacturers from Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK will be looking to take advantage of the strong domestic demand for high-end European products. Also in the European Hall (hall W1) are a number of premium bedding exhibitors from Europe including Curt Bauer, GRUND, Lyontex, Martinelli, Marzotto and Mundotextil.
While the European Hall focuses on premium suppliers, the International Hall (hall W2) features overseas exhibitors from around the world who offer similar quality levels at competitive prices. Key suppliers in this hall include Advansa from Germany, D'Décor from India, P/Kaufmann from the US, PASAYA from Thailand, PT. Indah Jaya Textile Industry from Indonesia and The Woolmark Company from Australia.
In addition to the wide range of textiles on offer from around the world, the fair’s increasingly popular fringe programme contains everything buyers need to know about the 2014/15 home living trends. The Intertextile International Lifestyle Trend Forum is designed around four themes which will help buyers understand the mood, colour, fabric and prints & embroideries trends for next season. For more analysis of the trends, visitors can attend the design & trend seminars on day one, as well as the Interior Design Forum which will discuss soft decorations.
Day two seminars see the focus shift to market information and brand sharing. Representatives from Texprocil of India and Home Textiles Today from the US will discuss the latest Indian and global industry market news. Plus, key exhibitors, including PASAYA, LaCanTouch Home Décor and The Woolmark Company will present their latest products and ideas in brand sharing sessions.
And appearing for the first time in Asia at The Woolmark Company’s booth is a contemporary wool art display which is co-organised by Wallpaper magazine. Also at this booth is a wool interior trends guide which is designed to provide designers with inspiration and ideas for using wool in home textiles products. Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd; the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT; and the China Home Textile Association (CHTA).
