PTA prices decline in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1515/ton to US$ 1520/ton. In Far East Asian markets, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1495/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market swelled and were offered in the range of US$ 1505/ton to US$ 1510/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices dipped and were quoted in the range of US$ 1070/ton to US$ 1075/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 1070/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1060/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 7725/ton to RMB 7775/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1345/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were offered at US$ 1215/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were assessed in the range of 55.00 cents/pound to 55.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices maintained a steady trend in the European international and domestic markets, and were quoted at US$ 1430/ton and €1085/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices surged in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices increased and were assessed at US$ 1095/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices were steady in the range of US$ 1070/ton to US$ 1075/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices declined and were assessed in the range of RMB 8000/ton to RMB 8050/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1480/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1470/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1470/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1430/ton and US$ 1450/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices maintained a steady trend and were assessed at RMB 10150/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady, and were assessed in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were stable in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 9600/ton to RMB 9650/ton.
 
PSF prices maintained a steady trend in Asian markets. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1520/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1420/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices maintained a steady trend and were quoted in the range of RMB 10350/ton to RMB 10375/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained steady at RMB 10650/ton, RMB 12150/ton, and RMB 10750/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY remained stable at US$ 1485/ton, US$ 1690/ton, and US$ 1485/ton, respectively.
