Yeochun Naphtha Cracking Centre (YNCC) is likely to shut its No.3 aromatics plant for a maintenance turnaround in the end of October till the beginning of November, 2013.

“The plant will remain shut for around 7-10 days,” a company official told fibre2fashion.

The plant is located in Yeochun, South Korea, and has an annual capacity to produce 120,000 mt of benzene, 60,000 mt of toluene, and 40,000 mt of solvent-grade MX.

YNCC was born of the integration between the naphtha cracking centres of Daelim and Hanwha Chemical in 1999.

YNCC is the largest naphtha cracking centre in South Korea and it produces various base materials for the petrochemical industry, such as ethylene, propylene, benzene, toluene, etc. and supplies them to domestic and overseas markets.
