Dow Jones Sustainability World Index announced its rating of The Dow Chemical Company as one of the top performers in the global chemical industry – marking the 13th time Dow has received this recognition since the launch of the index.

Additionally, Dow achieved a perfect 100% score in the Environmental Policy Management System category, leading the Materials Industry Group for the second year in a row.

"At Dow, our mission is to passionately innovate sustainable solutions for our customers," said Neil Hawkins, Dow vice president of global EH&S and Sustainability. "The Dow Jones Sustainability World Index is one of the most highly regarded sustainable business benchmarks, and we are proud to be recognized amongst a select few who remain steadfastly committed to both sustainability performance and business results."

"Membership in this index is a solid proof point of Dow’s commitment to use science and technology to address timely social and environmental challenges as we continue driving profitable growth for our Company," said Doug May, vice president of Investor Relations.

Dow seeks to set the standard for sustainability, setting aggressive 2015 Goals and taking pride in accountability and transparency throughout the process.
