The ongoing India international yarn exhibition ‘Yarnex’ being held at Tirupur in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu has seen participation of around 75 companies from all over India as well as countries like China, Thailand, Taiwan and Turkey.

A comprehensive range of natural fibres and yarns including cotton, wool, flax/ramie specialty products; elastic, fancy and blended yarns as well as regenerated and synthetic man-made fibres are on display at the three-day fair.

Nylon micro fibres, modal and tencel fibres, fire retardant polyester and viscose fibres, hi-tech polyester fibres and filaments for functional fabrics, pure silk, linen and jute yarns and value added cotton and blended yarns are also showcased at the fifth edition of the Yarnexpo.

The expo, scheduled to run till September 21, also has the largest collection of fancy yarns for wovens and knitwear. The National Textile Corporation (NTC Limited) has also exhibited some yarns and fabrics.

“YARNEX has come to hold a position of its own, bridging critical gaps in the supply chain and serving the needs of high value customers from India and overseas. This is why participation from across the fiber groups has been growing significantly. More importantly, each editions see new and existing companies showing their willingness to be present at this premier event,” said Mr. P Krishnamurthy, Chairman and Executive Director, SS Textile Media Pvt Ltd, organizers of the show, in a press release.
