FG PET prices decline in Chinese market

Paraxylene (PX) prices followed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1475/ton to US$ 1480/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were offered at US$ 1460/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1485/ton to US$ 1490/ton.
 
PTA prices remained stable in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1060/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1060/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1055/ton to US$ 1060/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 7650/ton to RMB 7700/ton.
 
Ethylene prices surged in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices rose and were assessed in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1290/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices dipped and were assessed in the range of 52.50 cents/pound to 53.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices plunged in the European international and domestic market, and were quoted at US$ 1440/ton and €1115/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices plunged in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices were quoted at US$ 1060/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1055/ton to US$ 1060/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices swelled and were assessed in the range of RMB 7875/ton to RMB 7925/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1460/ton, and some deals were discussed between US$ 1410/ton and US$ 1450/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers remained stable at US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1450/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1400/ton and US$ 1440/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were assessed at RMB 9925/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1340/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices decreased and were quoted in the range of RMB 9350/ton to RMB 9400/ton.
 
PSF prices maintained a stable trend in Asian markets. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1500/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1400/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 10125/ton to RMB 10175/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY dipped and were quoted at RMB 10450/ton, RMB 12200/ton, and RMB 10600/ton, respectively. In the export market, prices of POY, DTY, and FDY plunged and were assessed at US$ 1455/ton, US$ 1700/ton, and US$ 1465/ton, respectively.
