Functional Fabrics fair Performance Days from Nov 19-21

The exhibitors at the next edition of the trade fair are more international than ever before and present a representative picture of the international textile industry. The 104 exhibitors (a gain of +14% over November 2012) come from 22 countries, which is also higher by approximately one third as compared to the fair last winter.

Exactly half of the companies are based in Europe or the western hemisphere, these include the USA, southern Europe and Scandinavia; the most important Asian countries are New Zealand, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, and China.

As is the tradition, the exhibitor list consists of top name companies. New exhibitors at this fair include: BeBe Knit (Taiwan), Bemis and Climashield (USA), Designer Textiles International (New Zealand), Fairwear Foundation (Netherlands), Silkytex (South Korea), LTP Garment (Lithuania), and NFK Echomark (Japan). The exhibition space has also grown: The 1960 sqm net floor space is roughly 20% larger, which means Hall 5 will be occupied for the first time!

Important information: Interesting talks, new format for the Forum

The framework agenda at the trade fair is traditionally informative and of the highest standard. This November, once again integrated into the four lead topics "Fabrics," "Trends," "Technologies," and "Sustainability," is the popular lecture series that presents information about fabric and color trends, but also the latest news about sustainability and ecology.

In addition to the ClimatePartner presentation mentioned above, Sympatex or Fairwear Foundation share their experience and a discussion panel moderated by Sophie Bramel takes up the subject of "Wool in Sports." A new PERFORMANCE FORUM format provides a unique overview of all the innovations throughout the world of functional fabrics. The most interesting fabrics from the manufacturers are displayed as usual on nine tables plus in the PERFORMANCE GATE.

The table categories have been reorganized: Under the new categories "Baselayer", "Midlayer", "Softshell," and "Hardshell" the fabrics are assigned much more accurately according to their functional range - just one more plus for designers and product managers who are hoping to obtain a representative overview. A brand new topic is on the table under the "Casual" category, while sport is more fashionable than ever and, of course, sustainability and bluesign info is printed on the labels.

About PERFORMANCE DAYS

The PERFORMANCE DAYS "functional fabrics fair” was launched by textile trader Weichert Agencies in 2008. It is the first and only trade fair created as a special platform for functional fabrics, yarns, finishes, and accessories forsport- and workwear sectors. PERFORMANCE DAYS has become a semi-annual event that gives high quality and innovative textile manufacturers and suppliers a direct presence in a major center of the European sportswear industry.
