PTA, Ethylene & MEG prices fall in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1415/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1400/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1000/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 7400/ton to RMB 7450/ton.
 
Ethylene prices declined in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices fell and were offered in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1435/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were offered at US$ 1330/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were assessed in the range of 47.00 cents/pound to 47.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices declined in the European international market to US$ 1290/ton, while they kept steady in the European domestic market at €1010/ton.
 
MEG prices dropped in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices plunged and were offered at US$ 1015/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1030/ton to US$ 1035/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices decreased and were offered in the range of RMB 7475/ton to RMB 7525/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chip prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers were steady at US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1400/ton, while talked prices were quoted between US$ 1360/ton and US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were assessed at RMB 9325/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices fell in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1300/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices decreased and were offered in the range of RMB 8900/ton to RMB 8950/ton.
 
PSF prices increased in the Asian region. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1510/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1410/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 9800/ton to RMB 9850/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY stayed stable at RMB 10025/ton and RMB 10200/ton, while DTY prices declined to RMB 11900/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and FDY remained steady at US$ 1400/ton and US$ 1410/ton, while DTY prices fell to US$ 1665/ton.
