The F/W 2014-15 edition of the Italian Textile Tradeshow has ended on an encouraging note, with positive figures registered at both the Milan and China events.
The Italian textile industry has become a leader in the Far Eastern market, which is becoming more attentive to western luxury Fashion, demonstrated by purchases of finished Italian products and top-end semifinished articles, necessary for the development of Chinese fashion, which has grown in quality and volume over the last few years.
The network strategy, supported by significant institutional commitments and involvement from professional associations, has proven to be the path to follow to increase turnover in this important market.
"Personal commitments on behalf of the Consul General in Shanghai, Vincenzo de Luca, Director of the Foreign Trade Commission (ICE), Claudio Pasqualucci, delegate of internationalization for Sistema Moda Italia, Carlo Piacenza – declared Silvio Albini, President of Milano Unica - have been exceptional and decisive from many aspects. In addition, a feeling of national pride has arisen, making the team of entrepreneurs even more united. Both large and small top level firms hosted numerous visitors at their stands during the four fair days, despite less encouraging signs from the market in the previous months".
"The success of this edition is definitely due to the complex yet efficient organizational machine - commented Massimo Mosiello, Manager of Milano Unica – and also to constant innovation.
The Trend Area was visited by thousands of clients who discovered inventive stylistic information and useful suggestions on purchase. We will continue to follow this course for the upcoming editions, due to positive reactions from both exhibitors and clients. The next appointment is scheduled for March 3-5, 2014 at the Expo 2010 exhibit hall ".
Milano Unica has increased its obligation towards emerging talents in China, future users of Italian quality, creativity and service, in important related events. Besides being the first to present Uma Wang on the Italian catwalk, Milano Unica also focuses on young talents and the stylistic growth of Chinese design.
Milano Unica would once again like to thank the ICE Agency, whose professional and economic support has been essential for the success of the China event and foreign activities of the Milan tradeshow.
