Foster Wheeler AG announced that Roberto Penno, 53, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the company’s Global Engineering and Construction (E&C) Group, effective November 11.

He succeeds Umberto della Sala in that role. Mr. della Sala, 64, continues to serve as the company’s Chief Operating Officer.

Mr. Penno has most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of the Global E&C Group’s Asia-Pacific Region. "Roberto has already demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in key operational roles in our Global E&C Group,” said Kent Masters, Chief Executive Officer of Foster Wheeler AG. “With his breadth of experience, his knowledge of Foster Wheeler and his astute commercial and operational skills, he is very well qualified to fill this critically important role."

Mr. Penno will continue to have responsibility for the company’s Asia-Pacific region until his successor in that role is named.
