PSF prices surge in Chinese domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1415/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1405/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1425/ton.
 
PTA prices maintained a steady trend in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 995/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 7325/ton to RMB 7375/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained unchanged in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1425/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1305/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices plunged and were assessed in the range of 50.50 cents/pound to 51.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international as well as domestic market and were quoted at US$ 1235/ton and € 975/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices maintained a steady trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices remained unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1045/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1035/ton to US$ 1040/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 7475/ton to RMB 7525/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chip prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers remained stable at US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1400/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1360/ton and US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices surged and were assessed at RMB 9600/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chip prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices declined in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1300/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices surged and were assessed in the range of RMB 9150/ton to RMB 9200/ton.
 
PSF prices declined in Asian markets. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1500/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1400/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices surged and were assessed in the range of RMB 9825/ton to RMB 9875/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained stable and were quoted at RMB 10200/ton, RMB 11900/ton, and RMB 10225/ton, respectively. In the export market, prices of POY, DTY, and FDY decreased and were assessed at US$ 1420/ton, US$ 1655/ton, and US$ 1410/ton, respectively.
