Ethylene prices show mixed trend in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices dropped and were offered in the range of US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1405/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices declined and were quoted at US$ 1390/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1415/ton to US$ 1420/ton.
 
PTA prices maintained steady trend in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices were stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 995/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market were stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of RMB 7300/ton to RMB 7350/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1415/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1300/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of 55.50 cents/pound to 56.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices stayed steady in the European international as well as in the European domestic market and were quoted at US$ 1235/ton and € 975/ton, respectively.    
 
MEG prices declined in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices dipped and were offered at US$ 1035/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1030/ton to US$ 1035/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained stable and were offered in the range of RMB 7475/ton to RMB 7525/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were quoted between US$ 1350/ton and US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained stable and were assessed at RMB 9600/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices continued to be stable in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 9225/ton to RMB 9275/ton.
 
PSF prices kept unchanged in the Asian region. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1505/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1405/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSFprices kept stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 9825/ton to RMB 9875/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained stable and were offered at RMB 10200/ton, RMB 11900/ton, and RMB 10225/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY were steady at US$ 1425/ton, US$ 1660/ton, and US$ 1415/ton, respectively.
