50 experts partake in German-Saudi Arabia petrochem forum

Over 50 high-ranking petrochemical sector experts from Germany and Saudi Arabia participated at the recently held petrochemical forum organized by the German Saudi Arabian Liaison Office for Economic Affairs (AHK Saudi Arabia) and the Sadara Chemical Company, at the Dusseldorf Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Germany.
 
According to a statement issued by the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Saudi Arabia and Yemen, Robert Butschen, head of foreign trade division at the Dusseldorf Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Andreas Hergenrother, delegate of the German Industry and Commerce for Saudi Arabia and Yemen, opened the event and spoke about the recent developments and challenges faced by the Saudi petrochemical sector.
 
Mohammed A. Alazzaz, executive from the value parks department of Sadara Petrochemical Company, gave a presentation regarding business opportunities that are available for German companies through the several projects of Sadara Chemical Company.
 
At the forum, Faisal Al-Bafarat, deputy governor of Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), also spoke about various investment opportunities present in the petrochemical sector of the country.
 
The event was organized with the objective of exchanging information about upcoming projects and developments of the petrochemical industry of Saudi Arabia and gives key decision makers an opportunity to discuss future cooperation in more detail.
 
Sadara Chemical Company, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Dow Chemical Company, is set to construct and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Jubail Industrial City II, in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. On completion the Sadara complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase.
