PX & PTA prices decline in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices decreased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1435/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 1415/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1445/ton.
 
PTA prices decreased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices dropped and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 1000/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices dropped and were quoted in the range of RMB 7300/ton to RMB 7350/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1315/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were offered in the range of 54.50 cents/pound to 55.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained unchanged in the European international as well as domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1205/ton and € 950/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices decreased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices declined and were quoted at US$ 1055/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices rose and were assessed in the range of US$ 1050/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices fell and were assessed in the range of RMB 7600/ton to RMB 7650/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices stayed steady in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained stable in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were quoted between US$ 1340/ton and US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged at RMB 9550/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1200/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices dropped and were assessed in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices kept steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 9075/ton to RMB 9125/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1505/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1405/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were steady and were offered in the range of RMB 9725/ton to RMB 9775/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained steady and were offered at RMB 9950/ton, RMB 11700/ton, and RMB 10075/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY kept unchanged at US$ 1385/ton, US$ 1630/ton, and US$ 1390/ton, respectively.
