PX prices jump in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) surged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1425/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices jumped and were assessed at US$ 1415/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1435/ton.
 
PTA prices maintained a steady trend in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1005/ton to US$ 1010/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1005/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices surged and were assessed in the range of RMB 7375/ton to RMB 7425/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1330/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices plunged and were assessed in the range of 56.50 cents/pound to 57.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices surged in the European international market, whereas it remained stable in domestic market and were quoted at US$ 1270/ton and € 950/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices maintained a steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices remained unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1065/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1060/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 7800/ton to RMB 7850/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET chip prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, and some deals were discussed at US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged at US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1340/ton and US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET chip prices remained stable and were assessed at RMB 9525/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET chip prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1200/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET chip prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 9050/ton to RMB 9100/ton.
 
PSF prices maintained a steady trend in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$1510/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1410/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 9900/ton to RMB 9950/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained stable and were quoted at RMB 10050/ton, RMB 11700/ton, and RMB 10175/ton, respectively. In the export market, prices of POY, DTY, and FDY remained unchanged at US$ 1405/ton, US$ 1635/ton, and US$ 1410/ton, respectively.
