Among other subjects the panelists discussed what could be the key parameters which will help the Indian textile industry to grow, Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), quality of cotton supplied by ginners, thrash content in raw cotton, yarn realization and even cotton seeds, wherein lies the main challenge to producing good quality cotton yarn. The Guntur spinners too deliberated wholeheartedly in the proceedings and exchanged their experiences on various challenges they faced in producing yarns of the highest quality. Towards the end and as mentioned in the welcome speech of Mr Thomas, the Guntur spinners were definitely more wiser in their understanding of tackling challenges they face on a daily basis than at the beginning of the panel discussion.
