Ethylene prices surge in US markets

Paraxylene (PX) maintained a steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1435/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices remained unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1415/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton.
 
PTA prices plunged in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 990/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 7300/ton to RMB 7350/ton.
 
Ethylene prices maintained a steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1395/ton to US$ 1400/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1350/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices surged and were assessed in the range of 56.00 cents/pound to 56.50 cents/pound. Ethylene price remained unchanged in the European international as well as domestic market and were assessed at US$ 1255/ton and € 950/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices plunged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices dipped and were quoted at US$ 1022/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1035/ton to US$ 1040/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 7650/ton to RMB 7700/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET chip prices increased marginally in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers surged at US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1350/ton and US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET chip prices remained stable and were assessed at RMB 9500/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET chip prices jumped and were assessed in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices increased in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET chip prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 9025/ton to RMB 9075/ton.
 
PSF prices remained unchanged in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$1510/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1410/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 9825/ton to RMB 9875/ton.
 
In theChinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY remained stable at RMB 9900/ton and RMB 11700/ton, while FDY prices increased by RMB 10350/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and DTY remained unchanged at US$ 1385/ton and US$ 1635/ton, respectively, while FDY prices surged at US$ 1435/ton.
