Polyester FDY prices surge in Chinese domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1435/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices remained unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1415/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton.
 
PTA prices remained unchanged in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 990/ton. PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 985/ton to US$ 990/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices surged and were assessed in the range of RMB 7350/ton to RMB 7400/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1350/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of 57.00 cents/pound to 57.50 cents/pound. Ethylene price remained unchanged in the European international as well as domestic market and were quoted at US$ 1255/ton and € 950/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices remained unchanged and were assessed at US$ 1022/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1020/ton to US$ 1025/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 7575/ton to RMB 7625/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET chip prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged at US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1350/ton and US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET chip prices declined and were quoted at RMB 9475/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET chip prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices surged in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET chip prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 9025/ton to RMB 9075/ton.
 
PSF prices remained unchanged in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$1510/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1410/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 9825/ton to RMB 9875/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY plunged and were quoted at RMB 9800/ton, RMB 11500/ton, respectively while FDY prices surged by RMB 10400/ton. In the export market, prices of POY and DTY declined at US$ 1370/ton and US$ 1615/ton, while FDY prices surged and were assessed at US$ 1445/ton.
