PTA prices rise in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1345/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices remained unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1325/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1345/ton to US$ 1350/ton.
 
PTA prices surged in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 960/ton to US$ 965/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices jumped and were assessed at US$ 960/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 950/ton to US$ 955/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 6775/ton to RMB 6825/ton.
 
Ethylene prices followed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1480/ton to US$ 1485/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were assessed at US$ 1480/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of 56.50 cents/pound to 57.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices plunged in the European international as well as domestic market and were quoted at US$ 1335/ton and € 1000/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices surged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG price increased and were quoted at US$ 1007/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices jumped and were assessed in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 7310/ton to RMB 7360/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained stable at US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1340/ton and US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices surged and were quoted at RMB 9150/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 9000/ton to RMB 9050/ton.
 
PSF prices remained unchanged in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$1520/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1420/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 9800/ton to RMB 9825/ton.
 
In Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices remained unchanged and were quoted at RMB 9650/ton, RMB 11500/ton and RMB 10350/ton, respectively. In export market, prices of POY and FDY declined and were quoted at US$ 1350/ton and US$ 1445/ton, respectively while DTY prices remained unchanged at US$ 1610/ton, respectively.
