PX prices decline in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices decline in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices plunged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1335/ton to US$ 1340/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices decreased and were quoted at US$ 1320/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1345/ton to US$ 1350/ton.

In the S E Asian market, PTA prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 960/ton to US$ 965/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were assessed at US$ 960/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 960/ton to US$ 965/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices decreased and were quoted in the range of RMB 6750/ton to RMB 6800/ton.

Ethylene prices followed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1480/ton to US$ 1485/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices declined and were assessed at US$ 1475/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of 56.00 cents/pound to 56.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices dipped in the European international as well as domestic market and were assessed at US$ 1325/ton and € 980/ton, respectively.

MEG prices maintained a steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG price remained stable and were quoted at US$ 1015/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 7350/ton to RMB 7400/ton.

In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained stable at US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1340/ton and US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were assessed at RMB 9100/ton.

In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices maintained a steady trend and were assessed in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 9000/ton to RMB 9050/ton.

PSF prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$1515/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1415/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices decreased and were quoted in the range of RMB 9650/ton to RMB 9700/ton.

In Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices declined and were assessed at RMB 9600/ton, RMB 11450/ton and RMB 10250/ton, respectively. In the export market, prices of POY, DTY, and FDY decreased at US$ 1340/ton, US$ 1605/ton, and US$ 1430/ton, respectively.
