MEG prices drop in China and Southeast Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1310/ton to US$ 1315/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices increased and were offered at US$ 1290/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1305/ton.
 
PTA prices maintained steady trend in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 950/ton to US$ 955/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices kept unchanged at US$ 950/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market were stable in the range of US$ 945/ton to US$ 950/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices declined and were assessed in the range of RMB 6540/ton to RMB 6680/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1385/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were assessed at US$ 1400/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices kept steady and were offered in the range of 50.50 cents/pound to 51.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained steady in the European international as well as in the domestic market at US$ 1215/ton and € 940/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices dropped to US$ 945/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 940/ton to US$ 945/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices declined and were assessed in the range of RMB 6850/ton to RMB 6900/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were quoted in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were quoted between US$ 1330/ton and US$ 1360/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices decreased and were quoted in the range of RMB 8575/ton to RMB 8625/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1150/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were offered in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1250/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 8500/ton to RMB 8550/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1515/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1415/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 9475/ton to RMB 9500/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY declined to RMB 9400/ton and RMB 11300/ton, respectively, while FDY prices were steady at RMB 10050/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and DTY declined to US$ 1305/ton and US$ 1575/ton, while FDY prices remained stable at US$ 1395/ton.
